Where did the summer go?? Hi everyone! How did the last month of summer go for y'all?
It's still summer weather here, probably will be for the next 5 months or so. Went to take a walk around sunset yesterday and it was still 107. I can't wait for cooler weather. We've been spending our weekends driving around the mountains, exploring the little mountain and touristy towns, and hiking in Sedona. The canyons and woods are gorgeous. Excited to get our camping gear together and start spending the entire weekends there instead of just day trips. And we have our first California trip planned for this weekend (my first time to Cali). Going to San Diego to meet up with other mamas from my BMB. And E has decided crawling is for babies and only walks and runs now. It happened so fast. She's trying to figure out climbing now, so that's fun.
Anything going on for y'all? agpjt413 I've been lurking your BMB. Come update us and shaaaaare!
Camping sounds like a blast and hiking around Sedona sounds just beautiful kaeguri!! So how did you like San Diego? MH used to live out there and I absolutely love everything about it - people, weather, FOOD!!!!! Hope you had fun with your BMB meet up!!!!
agpjt413, baby girl ahhhhh! Did you or your H have a feeling either way? My H was positive ours was a girl and I swore it was a boy. He was right -_-. How's recovery going? SD was gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for better weather. When we left home, it was 109 and when we got to SD, 71 degrees and breezy. I didn't want to leave. We did have fun! It was so neat meeting the mamas I've talked to almost every day for the past 2 years in person. I'm so grateful for this community.

We are finally actually joining a synagogue! We've done the High Holy Days at this synagogue the last two years since we moved here, and we like it, but hadn't really prioritized officially joining. But with TTC, and H tossing around the idea of converting, we decided it was time.
Other news in Bonzo-land: I worked on a movie! I spent the last 2 weeks of August working in the production office on a Netflix movie. It's not what I want to do long term, since I don't think I could handle the 12 hour days all the time. But it was a fantastic experience, and I made some great new connections.
I just got back from visiting my family in upstate NY last weekend. It was a short visit, but lots of fun. My sister, cousins and I went kayaking and had to do battle with beaver dams!
Work has been good-busy for both me and H. That has meant we haven't finished all the yard projects we wanted to do before winter, so I'm hoping we get a few good weekends in before it gets too cold.
