We survived Hurricane Matthew and barely got touched at all. Just some light wind and rain. I got a mani/pedi today since H was still off. It was nice to get out of the house and truly relax. Tomorrow night is supposed to be our date night.
We got home yesterday afternoon. We unpacked the car and then we all took turns napping. Surpringly, I was the first awake this morning. We've been pretty much trying to put everything away and do laundry this morning. I had to clean DDs car seat again...she was sick again on the way home. We don't really have any plans this weekend. I think we're mostly going to try to get our bodies back on central time.
We took the kids to the zoo for hallzooween today. We left before they started the trick or treating but they stilll got to dress up and have fun. Probably staying close to home the rest of the day. We're watching my brothers dog so maybe running around the backyard with him.
Some of my girlfriends brought made dinner for my birthday last night and then we had a bonfire, it was really nice. We're on our way to meet some friends at a pumpkin farm and that's it for us. Maybe some meal planning tomorrow.
H had a friend come over last night to play games. He stayed over because they didn't finish playing until almost 4a. Then this morning they decided to go ahead and keep playing today. So they're still at it. I'm trying to be nice, and luckily one of the neighbor girls came over so she's helping watch Ridley, but ugh. I just want to have a weekend alone with H where he can watch R and let me totally relax.
But then maybe I don't want that either. I like how H is emotionally/mentally when he has friends over more often. He's so much happier. He's a total people person and I'm soooo not a people person. But at least I like his friends.
@led, as the people person married to a NOT people person, I know MH struggles to meet/allow for my social needs, but I appreciate every bit of effort he puts into being more social and I hope he sees the difference!
