Class starts soon. The slides and discussion points I was given from prior classes were horrendous. Thankfully I can do what I want. It was all "your partner is fragile and hormonal...don't feel bad if you want to run. Don't, but here is how you can tell her nicely that she's crazy and you aren't an asshole." 😳. Yes, presentation put together by a dude trying to fix his "problem" instead of a solution that works for the fam.
It is now team oriented, with a heavy does of positive psychology and an ACT focus. Basically, what are your specific family values, what are the challenges as well as strengths/positive attributes in your specific case and how can you use the positive to mitigate the challenges and still strive toward the values? It's more discussing an adaptive process for parenting, being a husband, and still having a personal identity while recognizing your partner also deserves these things too. Fx...we'll see how it goes.
Turns out you can spend a deal if time creating a class, market said class, and then have it cancelled due to low enrollment, despite it being "mandatory". I'm out in 4 weeks, I hope the next guy teaching has better luck.
