Good morning. DS slept 10 1/2 hours straight last night and it was glorious. I hope that means he's done teething for the moment and that his nebulizer treatments are helping him feel better. He's definitely improved a lot since we started them Saturday and the doctor said we can start weaning him off of it, by slowly dropping the amount of daily treatments and see how he does. I'm chalking it up to being a fluke and not expecting him to sleep like that again tonight, but fingers crossed.
Pumping and present. My October baby has been waking at 12:30 and 4 for like the last 10 days. He finally the last two nights has woken at 3:30/4 and then up at 6 or later like he used to. Ugg I hate infant sleep. I want dependability kid.
Working from home on this rainy day. DS2 STTN which was amazing. I think his first teeth are finally breaking through. Of course now that ive said that, he will be up ten times tonight.
I am SO over pumping and bf'ing. I need to step up the transition to formula. If i can be done with bf'ing by next month, i will be thrilled. I'm so grateful to have been able to breastfeed at all, especially this long.

Last night was strange in terms of sleep. Both boys went down with no issue. N woke up crying around midnight. MH went in and calmed him enough to get him back to sleep. G woke up around 3 crying, and ended up taking a small bottle around 3:30, after we changed his diaper. It was almost 4 by the time I went back to sleep, and I had to be up at 5:30 to pump and get ready for the day. He hasn't done that in a few weeks, so I'm not sure what's up.
MH is working today, so the boys are both at daycare. G's teacher gave me the Mother's Day project they did with him, and I nearly started crying, it was so cute. Dinner at Moe's tonight, and then hopefully early to bed for everyone.
I feel like such a bad mom. DD2's birthday is Monday and I barely have any gifts for her. Looks like I'll be going shopping this weekend.
My IL's 50th anniversary party is next Saturday at 1pm and I just found out that we (the three siblings/spouses) are providing all the food. Ugh. Fine. Then my SIL asked me last night if I could make a cake for them... thankfully not a giant cake, just a cake for my ILs because my FIL loves my baking. Fine. Now I have to figure out what kind of cake I want to make. I figure a boxed cake mix with some buttercream frosting probably isn't fancy enough for the occasion. I don't know why, but this whole party is just annoying me. I think it's because I'm missing Family Farm Day at my favorite aunt & uncle's house for it. They are putting their farm on the market soon and moving to South Carolina and I'm barely ever going to see them anymore, and this is probably going to be the last Family Farm Day we'll ever have with everyone there. My great-aunt, whom I haven't seen in years, is even going to be there, and I'm so sad I can't go. Maybe we can go to their house after the party, but it's an hour away and I'm not sure how long people will be there. I'll definitely call and check that day, but I have a feeling we're going to miss it. That makes me so sad.

iwantbacon, I'm right with you. I'm hoping to be done pumping at work by the end of next week, and hopefully fully transitioned by the time we go away in June. I still have a decent freezer stash, so we're going to start the transition this weekend, I think. You did great, mama!
Last push to clean the house. Stager comes this afternoon and pictures tomorrow morning. Hoping for lots of activity this weekend and a quick sale! Pretty sure we found our new home. Saw it last night and it's perfect! We just need it to hold on until ours sells!
And as I was typing this up my agent called and said the property just got an offer. So we're putting one in as well but until ourhouse sells we're at a disadvantage. Never thought we'd end up with a bidding war... especially since the house has been on the market for 50 days. FX we get it!
katrine05 that's so exciting and nerve wracking! Good luck! DD2 slept til 6 this morning which was awesome. But she threw up her whole breakfast and is having an on and off crying nap so I think something might be up with her. DH is at parent breakfast at preschool with DD1 but he's going to work right after. I don't know what we're doing the rest of the day. My patience has been pretty low, so I'm thinking of laying low. Sometimes it's better staying in and sometimes it's better getting out. I did get some cleaning done so that helps.
@kitchen I just bought some of those silicone feeders you posted. I had the mesh ones but the silicone seems much easier to clean. I can't wait to try it. I think it will be great for all the summer melons. Maybe even some frozen grapes cut in half when he starts teething. I did that for my oldest and he loved loved the frozen grapes.
Also- this kid ate a fish patty at school. They said it was crumbly but he ate it all up. I need more ideas with food for him. He seems picky. Like he is hungry and wants to eat but doesn't like the purees (taste I think) but then he also didn't like the green beans I gave him. He sometimes likes avocado but doesn't want spoon fed so then idk what to do. I have a sweet potato. Do I cut it in strips and bake it so he can pick it up or make it soft and try to spoon feed. Daycare doesn't have trouble with the purees so it's like he just doesn't want to take them from me. I almost think he's just done eating but then if I give him puffs or mum mums he gobbles them up.
After the rough night, things are coming up millhouse today LOL. I got 8 hash browns from Dunkin Donuts instead of 6, and one of my coworkers ordered baked ziti and sausage and peppers for everyone for another coworker's birthday. I did not have time to make a lunch, so I am so happy I don't have to go out now. It smells so good in here, and lunch isn't for another 15 minutes.

And no sooner do I post that, I get a call from the boys' school. Apparently N has a low grade fever (around 100). They are going to have him go down for a nap and then check him, but if it hits 101, I have to go get him. She wanted to let me know because they just had a case of strep throat confirmed in his room, and that's how it started. He didn't say anything about his throat hurting, but he was a little quieter than usual this morning.
becole just buy tofu. Jk. There's silken, firm and extra firm. Silken might fall apart when he tries to pick it up but it's be the softest. It he can eat a fish patty I bet he'd be fine with firm.
Is it in the refrigerator section of the grocery? Organic section? I'm going to need direction. Are there flavors?
At our Target it's with the refrigerated veggies, right below the baby carrots. Usually no flavors, except I've seen a few 'smoked' but I would just get plain. Biggest difference is just the thickness (so silken would work well to blend up in a shake or to crumble as 'scrambled eggs', and extra firm would hold up best for stir fry.)

I hope all the sick kiddos get better soon.
We had Mommy and Me and did a Mother's Day Craft there. Then I had group therapy. I really like my therapist a lot and am so happy I can see her on a weekly basis rotating individual and group therapy. I cover the city commission meeting tonight.

Well, N has strep throat. He was so sad when I picked him up and at the doctor's office. He perked right up at the pharmacy. His fever was gone when we got to the pedi. He is the third kid in his room to test positive for strep. The hardest part will be keeping him away from G.
Hey y'all...hope all the sick kiddos get to feeling better.
Quick check-in. I solo-parented tonight because H was on call and then met a friend and former coworker for drinks. I think it was to talk shop-as in former coworker wants to come back and is feeling things out. We'll see. Anyway, it was a nutso, busy day at work and then the baby was a grump from the time I picked him up until he went to bed. Gawd, I wish he would cut some teeth already. He's been drooling, chomping on hands and anything in sight for literal MONTHS and we're batting .00 so far. He's also got a nagging mild cold, which is also pissing him off.
I'm grumpy today too, I guess. I realized it a lunchtime today. I'm not outwardly angry but in my head I'm cussing everyone out. LOL. So maybe it's not the baby at all. 🤔
