OK ladies. It's frighteningly close to that time. As your little ones arrive please come in an post an announcement including
Name: Date/Time: Gestation: Weight: Pictures: (If you wish) Link to your birth story:
For purposes of this thread, love tits = congratulations, so no need to post individual congrats comments. Posting individual congrats here will very quickly clog up the thread and make it unmanageable. Individual congrats post may or may not be deleted to keep announcements from getting lost. But announcers, please do also create your own separate AW announcement thread with your story so that you can receive your well deserved, personal high fives, salutations, and celebratory what nots.
Welp, someone had to be first, I guess. I'll take one for the team. I'm typing on my phone, so this will be brief until I get to an actual keyboard.
Alice Catherine (3 lbs 4 oz) and Cassandra Jeanette (3 lbs 14 oz) stormed into the world around 2:30 this morning at 30 weeks, 4 days. When this hospital couldn't stop the labor, they were going to transfer me, but the doctor checked me one more time and I might have delivered in the ambulance. I had my medically necessary section after a lightning-fast med-free labor (seriously, I apparently hold the dilation speed record now). Not gonna lie, that hurt.
Both girls came out pink and crying, and are doing fantastically for 30-seekers. We're looking at about four or five weeks of nicu time, but all things considered, they're healthy and beautiful and have a great prognosis!

Hey everyone I know I haven't been around much for the past couple of weeks but I know some of you might remember me. I just wanted to announce the birth of my little guy. Conor was born at 32 weeks 6 days, April 30, he weighs 4lbs 12oz and when they pulled him out he was pink and crying! He's doing well in the NICU right now and the Drs are optimistic that he will only be on the Cpap breathing tube for a couple of days. He's under the bili lights and going through some testing and things. I am recovering well from my 24hrs of labour + a csection.
Ellie Jean was born on 5/4/15 via planned C-section. I had just schedule my C-section for June 4th that morning lol. That's what I get for trying to plan. Babies really do come on their own time. The day before I had no inclination I would go into labor. No contractions no nothing. My doctor appointment the previous Thursday (4/30) I was still at 1cm dialated 50% effaced that I had been at for weeks. My MFM was so excited for me that I was doing so well. My DD1 was born at 30 weeks 3 days so I was excited to make it past that. Around midnight I started having contractions, which isn't uncommon for me. They got really horrible to the point I was thinking, "I'm going to have to wake DH up and beg him to not go into work" as I lay there I then thought holy sh*t this could be it.... Then they proceeded to stop and I fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning everything was fine, until I went to go get DD1 up. The contractions got horrible. I got her up, changed and fed. I noticed when I was laying down in bed I was fine so I payed down and texted DH to come home because I felt like I had been run over and coukdnt take care of DD1 because the contractions got to bad when I stood. Thank God(!) DH took me seriously and left work a few hours later. Once he got home I told him I was going to call the doctor to get checked. I "knew" I wasn't in labor because I wasn't having contractions but I did feel this "pushy" feeling and that made me nervous. So I leave the house an hour later to go to the doctor. DH was home with DD1. We got down the street and that pushing feeling got stronger so I called the office and told them I was instead driving to L&D when I told the nurse about the pushing feeling she sorta freaked out that I was driving myself lol. Well I pulled into the hospital still thinking I was going to be at most, kept overnight to watch for changes. I casually checked into triage and chatted with the two lovely nurses. When they finally had orders to check me I was at 3cm dialated and 80% effaced. Crap. But I wasn't worried, I just figured they would keep me and nothing more woukd happen I texted DH and my mom to let them know I would be staying overnight. At this point they gave me the first steroid shot, an IV and did the strep B test along with an FFN. While I was laying I noticed the contractions getting more painful, they decided to go ahead and start the penicillin drip just in case I had strep B and ended up delivering. I went from being at 3 for 2 weeks with DD1 to 9.5cm dialated in 45 min lol. Thank goodness the doctor on call was the doctor who delivered my DD1. She remembered me and how fast I went and immediacy wanted to check me. At this point it's been an hour since the first checked. Well she checked me and said yep you're having a baby. I was at 5cm. They immidatly finished prepping me for the OR and had me sign all the paperwork as I'm frantically calling DH and my mom. DH still had DD1 and my mom was still at work. She left and came straight to the hospital. DH loaded up DD1 and headed for the hospital. At this point I'm freaking out DH is going to barely make it in time and no one will be here to take DD1 so he'll end up missing it. I remeber asking the doctor if we could wait 30 min for everyone to get there she said," no Hun don't you remeber how fast you went last time? We can't risk it" another thank God right here that so many women went into labor that same day because both ORs were in use the second one was finishing up so they were forced to wait an extra 10 min. I was wheels into the OR and they placed my spinal. One of the nurses came in and said your DH is stuck in traffic there is construction right down the road from the hospital but your mom is here. We are giving her scrubs to come back so you won't be alone. I'm lucky I was in shock from the whole thing or I would have totally lost it right there. They finished prepping me and asked the doctor, " are you ready for dad to come in?" DH had made it literally just in time. I broke down crying when he came in all in scrubs and grabbed my hand and smiled at me. 5 min later Ellie Jean was born screaming lol. She made sure we knew her lungs were fine. They brought her over and laid her cheek against mine. DH then followed them into the next room that was heated so they could proceed with caring for her. At this point they were moving on to my tubal and I requested meds to relax me. I slept through the tubal and woke up with the doctor telling me surgery went perfect. They moved me into recovery and brought out Ellie for me to see. They took her to the NICU and DH followed. So far I have had a pretty great recovery. Ellie is doing awesome breathing on her own and hasn't need breathing support. She is trying to latch and today we are going to work on latching with an LC. The sooner I can get her nursing the better for both of us. I know this was a long read. Here is your reward!
Tinsley Adine made her appearance into this world on May 4th at 1:01pm. She weighed 5lbs 9oz and was 18 inches long. I had to have a c-section due to my blood pressure issues, preeclampsia, and a giant cyst that decided it wanted to be part of the fun. She's in the NICU but doing fantastic!
Most of the details are in a post below titled "Star Wars Baby."

Alice Olivia and James Joseph were born on Tuesday, May 19th at 2:09pm via c-section. I had a doctor's appointment that morning and my blood pressure was dangerously high due to pre-eclampia, so they wanted to get the babies out sooner rather than later.
Alice weighed 5lbs 11oz and was 18.5in long. James weighed 6lb 1oz and was 19.5in long. Both babies are doing good!
Gri.ffin Wol.fe was born at 37w 3d on 5/22 after my water broke unexpectedly at home at 1230am! 15 hours (11 hours after my first contraction) and one wonderful epidural later he was born at 3:33pm. The little fella was 6 lbs 12 oz,19 inches long and absolutely perfect.
Will link my birth story when I have time to make the thread.
Emmeline Audrey was born today, May 26, 2015, via repeat C-section at 11:51am and weighs 7lb 1.5oz! (no length recorded). Gestation: 36/5
I got to see her very briefly before they prepped her and whisked her away to the NICU. But she is doing really well so far, and was stable enough that they could go slow and steady getting her intubated, and on all of her monitors. They did put her on ECMO (heart/lung bypass) and after they assess her tomorrow and see how her oxygen levels are (they were a bit low today before ECMO) they will schedule surgery in the next couple of days. I finally got to see her again tonight around 6pm and I'm in love all over again.
