This last weekend was really nice - we had a super lazy day on Saturday and then met up with a friend at the brewery. Yesterday I went to a life drawing session, which was awesome. I haven't done life drawing in a few years, but I'd like to get into it some more because it's fun and helps me in painting.
DH is a little bummed that next weekend is the first Easter in the time we've been married that it doesn't overlap with Passover, but we won't be in CA for his family dinner. Navigating those two holidays has always been the trickiest, and I'll admit that a small part of me is relieved that by not living near family we don't actually have to deal with Easter anymore (his choice to not bother with it if we aren't near his family). We'll probably Skype with his family on Easter, but that's it.
How about all of you? What did you do last weekend? Plans for next weekend/Easter?
Two birthdays in one weekend sounds both busy and fun!
I mostly do scenic painting for work (so realistically it's a lot of painting cheap plywood to look like nice wood) but sometimes I'll do some canvas painting. It's not something I do a lot of, but I enjoy it when I do it.
